Photography Craft - January 2008

From my office window this AM

January 29th 2008 20:48
The sun rises over the Oldina hills. Yes, this is the view from my office window this very morning - except I stood outside to take the picture.

Two new additions to the family here. It seems I will now be adding cow shit to my daily repertoire.

It's nice to know that we aren't the only species on this planet who get ourselves in the shit from time to time. I watched this guy carrying his dead mate, flying like a Chinook with one rotor missing. He wasn't doing too bad until he decided to try for a landing....

Just hangin'

Native Bee on a Coriander

January 13th 2008 12:07
We call them "native bees" but whether they are or not I do not know. They are small, and they like to hover about the flowers when they are open. To give you some idea of the size, a coriander flower is only about 10 to 13 mm across.
For the photogaphically interested, all my pictures are taken with a Fuji Fine Pix S602Z. These were taken using close up macro mode.

Triple Treat

At the risk of being blatantly egotistic, I thought I'd start this collection with a "rawk" photo. No prizes for guessing who's playing that old viola bass.

New Blog - just for those interested in pictures of just about anything taken just about anywhere. The only real criteria for posting them is that they are the best from my collection. All images are my own and if you flog them to use on a web site you give me the credit in writing beneath the image, in this format - photo by Robert G Heyward

I'll start posting some photos for you tomorrow. Note: There will be only one image per post, per day and if you want a full res copy, just ask.
