The Hall of Public Audiences (Diwan-i-Am)
The Red Fort in Delhi is an incredible example of Mugal architecture in India.
It was comissioned to be built by the Emperor Shah Jahan in the early 17th century, and was completed in 9 years. Much of the fort is built of red sandstone (hence its name and colour).

This is where the emperor would meet with his subjects, who would fill the
hall as well as the adjoining courtyard.
The Hall has nine arches that are supported on double columns. The roof is supported by three parallel rows of columns, topped with arches.
